Adapters#

The power of LEAF lies in its modular adapter framework, which allows users to easily add support for new equipment. Adapters are small functional programs that can connect to specific equipment, extract data, and transmit it via the OUTPUT modules.

Available Adapters#

LEAF has several adapters available for different types of laboratory equipment. Some of the currently supported adapters include:

  • Table Adapter: A simple adapter that processes tabular data with timestamp information.

  • Biolector XT: An adapter for the Biolector XT microbioreactor system.

  • Pioreactor: An adapter for the Pioreactor system.

  • OPC: An adapter for OPC-UA compatible devices.

  • Movesense BLE: An adapter for Movesense Bluetooth Low Energy sensors flashed with RAMSMART.

Within the LEAF web interface, you can easily install and manage these adapters. Navigate to the “Adapters” section to view the list of available adapters, install new ones, or configure existing ones.
